is it me? or does everybody struggle to say something interesting on these things?
i wonder why i have an interest in trying to entertain people i've never, and probly' will ever meet.
i guess that says something about me. .
i went home this weekend .
in the house i grew up in, we had a tree in the backyard that put out the prettiest, juiciest fruit i've ever seen or tasted. .
you can't find it in stores. . uncle bob said it was a nectarine' but, i've never seen it anywhere to purchase. .
i wanted to go and knock on the door of the people that now own the house and ask them if i could break off a branch and try to grow another one where i live now. .
and i asked my uncle bobby about it because he's a mad banzai guy. . i mean his backyard has 100 banzais in it . .so i figured he'd know. .
and he said said . " you can get those at the nursery's and plant then during certain months"
but my uncle Moses said to him "you're not understanding. . he wants the fruit from the same exact tree he grew up with" , . .
uncle bobby's a great guy . . and a great cook. . we had the best turkey tri-tip meal , i've had in awhile. . and if anybody knows me , i've talked about uncle moses before. . he's an entity unto him himself. .
anyways . . as i get older i realize that my uncles and aunts are much more interesting than i ever thought . .
it's comforting to know your family's around . .and to know that , they care about you. .
it's funny to say things like that. .
i hated most of them at 13. . i forgot about them at 18. .
i figured they'd written me off at 30. .
but, yet most of them are still here . .
and , now it's important to me. .
for those of you that can't understand this. .
i'm sorry. . i'm sure you have your reasons. .
