I just spent 170 bucks on wine. Three whole bottles. This is what happens when I decide to go to the wine cellar after sharing a pitcher of Golden Margaritas with a friend. I paid off a credit card, so of course buzzed me decided to rack it back up. *shrug*
BUT, I got a bottle of Beaulieu Vineyard Georges De Latour Private Reserve 1998 Cab which I'm extremely excited about. I've had this wine, just not this vintage...The other two bottles are just mediocre bottles of Sauvignon Blanc.
I watched Twin Peaks the movie last night when i got off work. I love David Lynch movies, but damn I feel semi stupid after watching them because I honestly don't understand what exactly was is going on half the time...but that is one of the reasons I like his movies so much at the same time...

i was like, WTF is up with this!
and these werent cheap bottles either, not high dollar like yours, but in the 20 buck range.
he told me that everyone was getting away from the cork, and that the new tops kept the flavor better, and didnt dry out.
unbelievable.
i was out with my neighbor who is a bar keep at an upscale bar, and she told me that their 100 dollar wine that everyone orders started coming with the screw off tops too.
it is the end of romance, im telling ya.
