I've not been getting that much stuff lately, what with working away, but I would heartily recommend any Clutch album, or 'to the centre' by Nebula. That's the kind of thing I'm listening to at the moment (With the exception of the new QOTSA album ) I'm actually quite surprised how my tastes have changed, I used to love really fast aggressive sounding stuff, now I tend to go for slower and sludgy. But thanks for the push to get Mastodon. I'm gonna have to go and relive my misspent youth now.

I went with the girlie to get her first tattoo yesterday (hot-roddy flames on her ribs just underneath her left boob), and then tried and failed to get some serious work done today. This weekend I was going to get so much work done... I ended up getting about... 2 hours of actual work in.

Yeah... they're going up around towards her armpit. Like they start about 6-8 inches above her hipbone and climb up that way. And yeah, the people at the shop thought she was pretty hardcore to try and do it there. She got all of the outlining and some shading done. We're going to have to go back sometime later to finish up.

It's good you punched that nimrod at Sin City. Some people, in my experience, love sticking their noses into others' affairs simply to make themselves feel like better people. And as a three year old, I'm sure your child's perception of most of that movie fell far short of comprehension. People don't trust their kids enough. I was watching Scarface when I was 10. If I didn't understand something, I asked my mom, who explained everything to me honestly and accurately. Instead of just saying: I'll explain it when you're older, or worse, you are not allowed to see that film. So what was the end result? I trusted her. And when it came to important shit like drugs or school or getting arrested - I valued her opinion because I knew she just wasn't giving me the standard parent BS response. Big picture is the way to go sometimes.
