Sitting here feelin slighty seedy, my work colleagues are sending me strange looks as I keep snickering to myself softly.
Why? Well let me regale you with the events of my evening last night as i attempt to re-live the entertainment. First up was the Disrupt Gallery launch of OverExposed - a photo exhibition documenting the behind the scenes action of street art. Pretty fukkin cool. on for another 2 weeks so go check it out if your into graf.
Then, across the way, the Misery exhibition at the Cross St Orphanage underneath Illicit. such a fan of this girls shit...mischief to the max, each character tells its own individual story and theres always a sense of sinister playfulness. Again i think its on for another 2 weeks so chekit.
Then it was off to the Kings Arms for the Kaleidoscope world Series - a showcase of some seriously good bands. Local music rulz. Most impressive were Labretta Suede and Motel 6 - the lead singer has a kind of Bettie Page/PJ Harvey appeal and a voice that would charm the devil. Hot Stuff.
And then there was another band who, if i closed my eyes, would sound like a cross between Lost Prophets and The Mars Volta. they were named Redmore. Bad name, good band.
Then, after probably a few too many pints, we decided it would be a fantastic idea to go with the boys from Redmore to Karaoke. and then the real fun began. bahahaha.
Do you know how hard it is to sing Hit Me Baby One More Time with a straight face when you're trashed on Lion Red bigmouth beers?
But i did remember all the words to Hotel California which pleased me muchly.
home at 3, up at 8, and have been laughing about it ever since.
Plans for the states are moving along slowly, just because it just seems like such a mammoth task to start dealing with.
Its weird thinking that this next month maybe the last time i see alot of people. which makes me sad.
but new adventures are on the horizon. which makes me happy.
i've tried uploading pics of my ink but it seems the files are too big and i have to fukk around with them to make them smaller. however, i have put in the canvas painting of the image which i got tattooed. Its by my friend Rose Hardy, who is also my tattoo artist at Illicit. totally amazingly talented lady. the next issue of Pulp will have the full profile on her aswell, plus pics of me in pain.
rightio, i think we're all up to date now.
piece.

Hey, sorry we didn't catch up again - my schedule was insane for the last week or so. Back in Dublin now, fairly-un-jetlagged so far!
