So, there have been loads of really interesting blogs regarding why some of the girls are SG or what their experiences have been with SG. I know I am not alone in enjoying hearing the perspectives of the lovely ladies. I have recently been trying to become a more active member, writing blogs, commenting on sets, blogs etc. More than just showing love to the incredible sets that grace these pages. Before I became a Member, I was following more than a few SG ladies on IG. My initial reasons for signing up are pretty simple, BOB suicide. I often do not like or try to compare SGs because all of them are their own persons, and are unique and beautiful, interesting etc. But, if I had to pick a fav or all time fav, it would be BOB. Now many of you(if someone was to actually ever read this haha!) will think this is due to her looks, if you are unaware of BOB *SPOILER* she is incredibly beautiful, and you can find her picture in the dictionary next to, GORGEOUS. However, it may be looks that caught my eye and got me to click follow on IG, but it was the personality that was all over her page. I always say attraction is about way more than looks, and that there has to be a "person" there, a personality(obvs this goes for any gender or type of relationship) a conversation to be had etc. I loved how that amongst some unreal photos of her modeling, were posts about anything and everything. Her passions and interests, her dog, who she was! And it is due to all of that that my IG hunt for rad humans that belonged to this thing called SG began. Boy am i lucky, because there are so many cool, rad, unique, interesting, passionate, SGs out there! SO many of whom enjoy positive interactions with others and take a risk and share with us a piece of their lives. I now that personally I would be completely overwhelmed by the outcome of said risk. Brave, women following their dreams/passions/interests and on a very public level. So after about a year of IG SG following, I was playing a videogame with my bestfriend and during his turn i was scrolling thru IG and BOB came up and, I said something along the lines of "fuck it, im getting a membership". BEST DECISION EVER. Since then I have slowly tried to become a part of the community. And have had a good time thus far. I look at this website as a Haven of sorts. I know that I can log on and im instantly in a "world" of mostly like minded individuals or at least open minded mostly nonjudgemental people. Ladies, dudes, all ages, backgrounds, locations, careers, passions, lives. And here we can talk about ANYTHING. Everyday i am impressed with the threads or groups i stumble into. Early on I found a thread about WEEZER, one of my fav bands. and it was so cool to see these conversations that were stretched over the course of serious amounts of time. days, weeks, months, years. Reading someones visceral reaction to when Make Believe came out, hilarious, and enjoyable. (brace yourselves people, artists tend to have different sounding music, when they create NEW music. also ya know life happens, and your shaped by it) How rad, I can remember walking to the local sam goody to go get my copy the day it came out. (kids these days dont even know). anyways, there just now, i got lost in a happy memory due to a memory of a great moment from when i first joined the SG community. Since then, my IG feed is dominated by SGs/SG photogs/SG locational groups. And one may think, oh thats a lot of the "same thing". NOPE! If it was not for SG/SG on IG i would be missing out on new books, movies, artists, cultural/political events, recipes, tonssss of rad clothing companies, and most important some kick ass and inspiring people. This world is a crazy place, full of death, destruction, and negativity. I am grateful for there to be an outlet/place for people to come together, exchange thoughts and ideas, share dreams/goals/passions, or vent, or reach out for help. I recently started following some realllllllly rad hopefuls, and it makes me happy to see future SGs in action. People offering to speak with a random stranger if they could use an ear for their current troubles. offering bits of learned wisdom, making attempts to make this world a better place. So if anyone actually reads this, I am a Member because of YOU, the SGs, the Members, the personalities, the kind words, the supportive environment that is so much more than Tits and Ass. But hey, lets not kid ourselves, who doesnt love some T and A.
