let me tell you a story
once upon a time there were two people, one of whom loved the other very much. the other one said she loved him long ago, but never really meant it. not really. for you see children, no matter how many times she professed his importance to her - told him how much he meant to her, how he'd always be a part of her life, how he was her best friend and her knight in shining armour - it was always so easy for her to throw him away.
he was stupid and pathetic, and so always let her get away with treating him like crap. for when the thing she had thrown him away for was mean to her and she came back to him looking for help, he always helped. he always instantly forgave any wrongs she had done and she knew he would do so. she always knew if she needed someone for whatever reason she could go to him.
these two people found themselves not talking very much. but when they did talk, she would tell him how she felt she had lost her best friend; about how she needed to see him to help sort herself out as he made her feel calm like no one else could.
but then one day, for no reason at all, she decided she didnt want to know him any more. she didnt want anything to do with her 'best friend'. and she threw four years of what he at least thought was a special friendship away. for nothing. once again it came so easy to her to just toss him aside like an old newspaper. it seemed he was wrong. it never was a special friendship. he never was her knight in shining armour. he never meant much of anything. and he never learnt his lesson
