today's rant topic is Multi Level Marketing companies. ex. Amwayh, Watkins and Primerica. A old work acquaintance messaged me on Facebook about catching up and his "amazing business opportunity" We barely talk for a minute before I get a business pitch about a financial/ insurance group. Having watched the episode of Penn and Teller's Bullshit about pyramid schemes I already knew it was a ripoff and I could see the sales tricks from a mile away. The amount of brainwashing that goes on in these companies is absolutely insane. Even Apple loving hipsters are not this brainwashed. They even tried using hard sale tactics with me which I though was kinda sad. I really wish that people would smarten up and quit falling for these bogus companies.
