I like the new set today! GERMANY's set is patriotic and has a good message. (warning, rant enclosed)

Register to vote and VOTE people! I don't know about all of you, but for me, voting is a small crusade. The United States' electoral system is based upon the will of the people to lead and be lead. Based on the last election, it's more...

hah, we're a rather small town, so there's only one animal shelter here, and it wasn't open today. i'm assuming either someone picked her up, because i didn't see any dead dogs on the road in our area, or she's out and about [but i can't imagine why]. i can only hope that tomorrow we may find her, and if not, i will go to the neighbors and ask about her.

ah well.

dogs are crazy, sometimes.

I don't own a short skirt, nor do I tend to wear shorts, jeans, or sweatpants for a # of reasons people should not be subjected to the sight of me in a short skirt or a pair of shorts and 2 not modest 3 I have short legs and look like shit in jeans. (well I wear sweats when workin out). Anyway, I wear long skirts, I grew up being told that a girl should look like a girl and not hold captive her femininity. Granted my mother made me wear long skirts from the age of 11 on. I do wear jeans when the occasion calls for it, but my daily dress code is a jean skirt. I don't wear much make up at all, but (here comes my brag on me) I have been told I have a perfect complexion so I tend to use very little to maximize what I have. I literally was told that a woman should not wear mens clothing, the school I went to the uniform was long skirts just for modesty's sake. To be honest I do understand your rant about clothing because I used to wish I could wear pants again. I wore skirts every day from 11 to 17 then I wore pants alot but ultimately switched back to skirts. Some people say I was held captive BY my femininity, well I tried to rebel against wearing skirts and within 3 years I was back to wearing skirts all the time. I guess it is up to personal preference; but there has to be a modicum of common sense, like when I am taking my Mandt classes, one of them is a restraint class I HAVE to wear pants that day, so I do.

I have a friend who wears nothing but pants, she has amazing legs and would look awesome in a skirt but she says no. She rarely wears make up, and getting her to do her hair is almost as bad as trying to pry Valen away from the mirror in the mornings.

I am so paranoid. I get it from my mom's father's side of the family. Any time i commit any acts that violate a moral or legal code, I am typically meticulous about cleaning up the evidence. My policy usually follows that if no one gets hurt (and indeed, all knowing parties have a good time), where's the harm?

Why? Plausable deniability! If i can...

Hurray for me. My social life is (finally) showing signs of 'life' again! go me!

Today, a friend from out of the woodwork needed a ride to work. I haven't spoken to Karen in... forever. Anyways, she's 8 months pregnent (the daddy is "Jose Cuervo" and she's not sure who the mom is! LOL) and what am I going to say, "No"? Of course not....

I found out today that, it's true, i will not be able to make the SG east coast camping. I'm going to be busy taking care of my 87 year old great grandmother again.

It's cool though. I'll have more time to practice not being Mr. Wallflower. Further, i don't know how much longer I'll have my great grandmother, so I gotta spend time with...

Clumsy with words. I don't even have the excuse of having been dropped on my head as a child.

I used to be very good with words. I think i hit my pinnacle in my personal grasp of the english language about 3 years ago. I was at the local community college and had been for a while. I was plowing through english classes and...

Recently, I have had the time and opportunity for recreational reading. A rare treat and one I have not wanted to let be wasted. So far, I devoured "The Twelve Caesars" by Michael Grant (a non-fiction recounting and analysis of the first twelve significant emporers of Rome, including Julius).

It was a lighter read than I expected. a couple hundred pages, blessedly light on over-dramatized...

International relations and politics have been a hobby of mine for several years.

When i was in 8th grade, there was a project that everyone was supposed to do. They were supposed to watch the news every night for a month and take notes. At the end of the month, there was a test.

i was the only student out of 100 that failed. My...

I meant I won't be voting for either one of the two major candidates, I'm not stupid enough to completely surrender my eens of power.
blossy:
I know you weren't calling me stupid, honest I do tongue. I understand your frustrating, and yeah it is wrong to totally not vote at all, that just seems like people don't care anymore, and alot of people don't. I may not care for the main candidates but I do care for my country. ok ok way patriotic there.

We all get joke emails, right? Well, most of them i look at and spend 20-30 seconds reading and hit the delete button. this bitch has been in my email box for more than 2 years, because it's about the funniest shit I've ever read.

For those of you who have lived in Texas, you know how true this is. They actually have a Chili...

I just started creative writing when I first joined SG in April, and am still trying to find my own style and format. You would have "hated" my first story, it was one long sentence... biggrin

The 2 bands (Bloom and Mooney Suzuki) were... eh... Mooney Suzuki had good stage pressence, but i only could make out about half of the liracs. I won't venture forth any reasons.

And the girls were well worth the wait. I figure i'll go around to each of the girls who performed and whom I saw at the show and post...

I am pretty certain you have biggrin. It's a good thing. I have learned to listen better by his example, thankfully. So, you see all you need to do is find a chick who won't shut up....get to know her (that takes all of 5 minutes with chicks like that) and listen to her and keep hanging with her...then voila...you'll become more outgoing around chicks and she'll become more aware of when to talk and when not to talk.
blossy:
That's just it though, befriend someone like that and they can teach a shy person how to be around people of the opposite sex very easily, while they tehmselves learn something of how inappropriate it can seem to always have to have something to say, just because a person listens.
