it was areally nice day here yesterday. and as a complete anomaly, thom and i both had the same day off. i wanted to take my bronco in for cosmetic repairs, but they told me to come back on thursday. so we suddenly had a whole day, with nothing planned. and i'd been feeling the cabin fever lately. so i sent thom home to put on shorts and a tank, and i showered and got myself ready quickly, and we went to san diego. the drive there and back was nice for the most part. there's bound to be traffic on the 5 at some point, but it wasn't terrible. we went to the gaslamp quarter. found a little mexican place to eat. sat out side, drank margaritas and ate, while we talked loosely about our wedding. then we went to the huge 5 story out door mall and walked around. we covered all five floors of course. and ironically enough, i didn't buy a single thing there, but thom bought shorts. we also looked in some of the jewelry stores and ended up finding a design for a wedding band for him that we both liked. so we drew it up because we already have someone who's going to make our bands for us. we didn't do much but hang out and walk around, but it was nice to be out doors all day in nice weather, and not worry about running into anyone we knew. and it was nice to hang out with my fiance all day. we haven't done that in a while.
