Ok so I was prescribed Prozac. The doc said it would help with my anxiety.
I took it for the very 1st time last night and I woke up at 3am feeling anxious, nervous, and thinking I was gonna have a big panic attack.
What the fuck, man?! I thought it was supposed to calm me down! And I didn't know that I'd feel effects the 1st DAY!
Is this what happens? Does it take a few days to get better? I need advice.
This fuckin sucks.

hun, don't worry... most meds for mental health stuff takes about 1 to 2 weeks to kick in and show any real effect!

It may be that by that time anyway, you may have to adjust the dose to get it right for you!

I've been on prozac... for depression rather than anxiety... it didn't work very well for me, so I changed meds... so rest assured that if it doesn't work, there are other things that can help... just give it time!

prozac is a bitch. you're probably going to have to try different milligrams until your system (brain and body) finds an amount that works. the first couple days/weeks can be rough but just keep in touch with your doc.

are you taking any other stuff?
