the weekend is coming to an end, and i'm exausted!
thursday night we went to the indians game. it was the first time krissy has been to one. also her first time on the train. which was cool. the game was a lot of fun. our seats were absoultely amazing. 3rd base line about 10 rows up right behind the dugout. it was so cute how krissy had no clue about baseball and i had to keep explaining things to her. after the game, we came back and watched a movie and just hung out and went to bed.
friday chris and i ventured on to Warped Tour. I made a quick $40 bucks selling 2 tickets i had from work. As we walked in Less than Jake was playing. that band is still a lot of fun to watch play. After that i ran into a few dudes i know, and was informed that Talib Kweli was playing on the main stage. and to make it even better was Helmet was playing right afterwards. All i have to say is that Talib is sick as fuck live. He played a bunch of new songs that were fucking amazing and i cannot wait for a new album to come out.
Helmet. hmm what can i say about Helmet... Page Hamilton has never let me down in all the years ive seen them play. this year being one thewy def did not let me down. i was skeptical on how much of the new album they would focus on, and from the first note they played, i knew it was going to be good because they kicked it off with old jams and continued throughout the set with old songs from Betty and Meantime. total killer set. Not to mention the best part was looking on stage, seeing Derek Hess standing there and realizing that he was weraing a HOLYFUCKINGCRAP! shirt! bonus!
after Helmet we trecked over and saw the last few songs of 30 Seconds to Mars. I dig that band, but man are they god awful live. and btw nice eyeliner douchebags. lol. We Watched a few more bands, then catching Against Me! on the main stage. It was pretty awkward seeing them play on a huge stage like that, considering the last time i saw them was in the living room at Fort Totally Awesome... After that was NOFX, and i must say was mighty impressed with the fact they played nothing but old songs off Punk in Drublic, Heavy Petting Zoo, White Trash 2 Heebs and a Bean, and even a song off of Ribbed. Fun times that had taken me back to 1994.
Saturday was my nephew's birthday. It was a pretty good time. My newest nephew Nolan is getting to be soo big! and is the cutest little devil ever! Although it kind of sucked that Krissy had to work and that Brianna was with her grandmother and grandfather all weekend. I would have liked to have Brianna there to hang out with the kids.
Today, i golfed, as usual. played pretty well and was happy with how i played. Although i did shoot a 78, and missed 7 birdie putts all within 10 feet or less. it's not that i suck at putting, but the greens are in such bad shape its sick.
Since Brianna has been gone all weekend, Krissy has been upset because she hasnt been away from her this long, ever. So its been realyl hard on her. but things will be ok starting this week, since shes starting day care and all that jazz. And i do have to say myself, ive missed her the past 4 days, and cant wait to pick her up in an hour or so. I just hppe she can stay awake tonight so krissy can see her when she gets home from work.
