Yeah I just got off the phone with my dad and he went on a rant about how unbelievable it was that the government could brainwash people into thinking that the Iraq war was legit. This is coming from someone who served in the Marines for 5 years, is a member of the NRA and attends church every Sunday. I think he regrets voting for Bush now. I was just like "I TOLD YOU SO!" haha.
Yeah I'm sort of in a band now. I jammed with 3 other people yesterday and we're going to have practice again next monday. But the only reason why I'm with them is because I'll be graduating and moving out of Gainesville in 9 months anyways.
They are all into 80's shred speed prog I-can-play-faster-than-you metal, which I don't like all that much. The guitarist/singer is 29 and the drummer is 35
(the other guitarist is my age). And they want to start out as a cover band while eventually putting their original songs in. Lame. 
Oh well I guess it's better than not being in a band at all. 
I watched Blue Velvet last night and it was pretty good. The movie had some really crazy ass memorable scenes in it but other parts of it were kinda corny. The next time I have sex I'm going to randomly bust out a Amyl Nitrate mask and start breathing in all fast haha. I bet that would go over well.

Good luck with the band thing. I dont think I even know how to play an 80's song right now. Maybe I'll have to learn one.
Why bother being in a band if you don't even like playing the music? Wouldn't you rather play the music you'd like to play with others?
