Yesterday was the punk rock girl's birthday. We went to her friend's band's show before her birthday party and they were really good. They were a funk rock band sorta like early Incubus. Their drummer was a 300 pound black guy and he was one of the best drummers I've ever seen live before. How many black drummers have you seen that weren't awesome, I mean really? haha
The birhday party wasn't really a party though, more like a small gathering of close friends. Nothing too crazy. Yeah she's definitly one of those people who doesn't like to hook up with anyone unless they are in a relationship. She's currently in her hometown and won't return to Gainesville for another 2 months, so we can't start anything now. But we aren't officially going out with each other yet so I can still hook out with other people until then, just not her. *emo tear*
Yesterday I was watching Larry King Live and the episode was called "God and Good vs. Evil". One of the panelists said that it's a matter of perception. He pointed out that even though Americans think that we are good and that Al-Qaeda is evil, the Al-Qaeda group truly believed that the opposite was correct. That then brought up the question of who is to decide what is good and evil?
Another panelists said that the bible is to tell us what is the absolute universal standard for what is right and wrong, but of course that answer is invalid for obvious reasons
. I think it's just whoever holds the most power decides what is good and evil. What is right and wrong is an opinion, not a fact.
Yes I know that was all very pretentious, fuck you haha.
Well I'm going to be extremly busy studying for my final exams this week. I'll be back soon enough.
