This past Friday night, me and my cousin were in a wreck. Hit head on by a drunk driver. Luckily me an my cousin are alright. Hurt, but alright. I went to the hospital that night and had xrays and ct scans taken. I had bruised ribs, whiplash, and im just hurting all over. My neck, left ankle and knee, ribs , waist and back. My cousin wasn't so lucky. With displacements, deep cuts,and broken bones. He is still in the hospital. Had a plate put in his wrist, screws in his leg, and will have to stay off his feet for 8 weeks and spend months in physical therapy. But the guy that hit us, was fine. Was up walking around and barley hurt. He had been drunk. It's really opened my eyes to the fact, all three of us could be dead. No one ever pays attention to the commercials, saying not to drink and drive. And to think, if he had followed the law, I wouldn't be hurting right now. My cousin wouldn't be in pain in the hospital. He could have ruined two innocent lives. I guess what I want to say is, follow the law. We have them to keep us safe. We have them to keep order in society. At this moment I wish my cousin a speedy recovery. Thank you for reading.
