Have you changed birth control brands or types in the past few months? You can get something called "breakthrough bleeding." It mimicks the periiod, but doesn't usually last as long. It can also start and stop several times. This is especially true for low-estogen pills, the patch, and the ring. If you bleed through a whole second period, or if the consistency changes, call your doctor!! Planned Parenthood also has an advice line you can call. I don't have the SF number, though. Hope it stops soon!
