I'd be happy with $700... but I'd be going from $0 to $700, which is nowhere near taking a 50% pay cut. Darn no-paying internships. I'm convinced the "experience" requirement is just another form of job protectionism -- the more obstacles they can throw up to hinder new lawyers, the easier it is to hoard business.
