BAD NEWS:
There seems to be some kind of stomach bug going around school. Worse yet is that I seem to have caught it.
The kicker...was when I felt so bad...like I wasn't sure if I needed to crap or vomit an decided I'd go sit in the sancuary and see what happens...there was another female student in there...who despite my saying this couldn't seem to get the hint that I needed some time to myself...oh well...
SCHOOL FRUSTRATION:
My new instructor is an ass. Actually, I'm assuming he's an ass because I never see him...which is the problem. We have huge projects to work on and run into MANY snags...and where is he? Nowhere to be found. I always just go find my old instructor for help. Which, truthfully, is probably what I'd do anyway.
The only time he ever shows his face is to tell us that it's time to go back to class to sign out for lunch and stuff...or to tell us we have a major problem and we have to redo something. And even though the two instructors whose skills I trust and admire disagree with him, I'm sorta stuck doing what he says...which inevitably has led to larger problems. It honestly felt like sabotage...
But in the end...due to the fact my team works so hard together, we got our project done with MUCH admiration from the instructors.
My instructor told us that he would be reshuffling the teams for the next class into groups of two, four to a car...which really upsets me because I really can't stand any of the kids in the class. Bunch of slackers!
THE GOOD NEWS:
Today, my group (actually it was just me and army guy because Brad was sick and sleeping in the car) finished all the final buffing and detailing of our car...
Yes, ladies and gentlemen...yours truly even brought a handful of q-tips to school today to clean that bitch!!!
Something I was sure the instructor hadn't seen...but Army Guy reported to me that he had indeed seen it...and even told the boys in my group that even though he'd be reshuffling the other teams he wants to keep us three together, because he's so impressed with our work and add one more of the good guys from class. He's doing this because he has a very serious project that MUST be started IMMEDIATELY next Monday, the first day of our new class.
So...in the end...although I am not at all happy with my instructor, I'm getting the help I need from the people I admire and am receiving the praise due for our hard work.
I might be an alchy...(as per my friend) but I'm a damn fine painter!!!

Really, as long as school's going well, that's what you need... dumb instructors will come and go, but your skills and lessons from other teachers will stick with you.
And who knows? Maybe he'll actually appear one day and teach you something you never knew!
