The opening of a new week...and a new class...and hopefully a new era of inspiration and happiness...but let me not push my luck.
The day opened on 85 degree heat with 94 percent humidity...at 5:30 AM!!!
Our class went to work IMMEDIATELY after arriving. We chose our groups...so I'll be with army guy and Brad.
We chose the car we wanted out of the lot and as we discussed, immediately went to work on the jobs we'd been assigned.
Army guy found the paint code and I went to mix up a quart of it while army guy went ahead and started breaking down the car. Brad began taking off the trim and sanding down the car for the new paint after fixing a couple dents.
When the paint was mixed I went to work taping up the car for paint.
Here's a picture of some of my handi-work...
And just so you can get an idea of what the other's are doing...here's my partner's handi-work...
FYI: You're supposed to keep your paper/tape as smooth and clean as possible...since every crease, fold, hole, or wrinkled piece of tape can and will trap dust and dirt which inevitably ruins your paint job.
Funny how they've kept women out of the auto field for so many years when CLEARLY we're more patient and maticulous than the boys...resulting is better work.
But hey, don't listen to ME! I'm just some dumb girl...
