Hello from the steamy depths of hell...I mean...Houston!
Another day with the temp well over 90.
I will never get used to this...
***
Last day of lab time...tomorrow is the end of course...
90+ degree heat...paint suit, respirator, gloves, and trapped in a paint booth on the bake cycle bringing it up to a possible 140 degrees...
I kept dripping sweat all over the s10 front end I'm working on as I'd go to wipe it with the special 'dust rag!' I'd have to back up and start the 'sterilization' process all over again...wiping it down with the wax and grease remover, then wipe it with the rag...then sweat on it some more...and start over.
But I'm happy to report that I completed both my front end, bumper, and handed in all my lab sheets with two hours to spare!!!
I'm not that happy with the way it all turned out...but remember how last time I didn't get to finish all my projects? and that was when I had a partner to help...and didn't have to make up three weeks of work in three days to catch up to where the class was!!!
Here is a picture of the completed front end
Look at that shiney, shiney bitch!!!
Don't know what the blue spot is up on the fender...it's on my camera...so ignore it.
Can you tell that the fender and hood you're looking at were scratched down to the metal with a screw? No? I can...but that's cuz I'm me...and I'm supposed to be able to see that.
