BAD NEWS:
The punishment stuck.
GOOD NEWS:
The school president came by our class today and let us who had gotten into trouble know that he was giving us the option to re-take the class and that we wouldn't have to pay for it or use up one of our freebie re-phases.
Although I would have passed the class anyway...even with the dropped grades...I've chosen to retake the class, effective immediately.
Doing this will erase the last class from my record.
I will be able to get my Dupont Certification (which out in the real world would cost upwards of 4k) and I will still be able to apply for the Mercedes program.
OTHER NEWS OF INTEREST...
My friend, who had gone to talk to the school president as soon as he'd found out about losing his Dupont certification informed me that while he was sitting in his office at least three parents called to bitch at the president, effectively getting them off scott free.
Upon returning to the class to take his final my friend sat down with our instructor for a good hour of talking. The instructor said that he knew that not everyone was equally guilty and that he could pick out who those less guilty people were...BUT...due to the fact that some of the people who originally confessed and then went to meet with the educational managers and changed their stories, saying they were not only NOT guilty but pointed their finger at my friend, Army Guy...the educational managers all decided, fed up with the kids behaviors, to punish us all equally.
So, while my graduation date has been pushed back by three weeks...I'll be able to clear my record of this whole stupid incident...and truth is...it's probably better that I don't sit in the class with those fucking children.
