MENTAL NOTE:
If I'm ever running late for school again...something to help me on my way? A little of the Reverand Horton Heat... Seems I can't listen to that without flying at least 65 in a 45...
CAR: Name Pending...
Hauled my little hoopdie back into the garage today (and let someone else drive it up onto the rack because i simply don't need any more stress than i already have).
It took about two hours but we finally got her aligned at least half-way properly (to be aligned entirely properly i'd need a special shim kit i don't feel like purchasing right now).
Took her out for a test drive...booooyah!
That wobbly ol' wheel that was giving me so much grief...GONE!!! I flew down Imperial Valley at at LEAST 65 and even was able to take my hands off the wheel with just a hair of a drift. I was so happy I nearly messed my pants...NEARLY.
I spent the rest of my class time floating on air! I can finally take my girl out onto the highway and open up all her little four cylinders!! Woo hoo!!! It also means I might finally be able to take a road trip or two, now that it doesn't feel like her wheel's gonna fly off at any given moment!
Driving home from school I had to giggle, I guess it'll take me a little while to get used to driving her without the wobble and the big drag to the right.
PLANS FOR TODAY:
Not many. I may or may not get around to finally cleaning up my house.
I'll definitely get some studying done...probably with the assistance of Mr. Cajun who's already been here and done this type of class.
MORE THAN LIKELY:
I'll finish watching Days of Our Lives...
Finish this here beer...
Nap on the couch for a while remembering the fun of this past weekend...with all it's drunken debauchery and testosterone driven redneckery...
I may get out to run some errands but probably not...
Commence drinking and wait for Mr. Cajun to come for a visit...
Doesn't sound that exciting...but hey, everyone needs a good down day, right?
EDITED TO ADD:
Go welcome my friend BaneSOTS to the wonderful world of SG. He claims he only joined to check out the nekkid chicks...but that's just because he doesn't know how cool the rest of the site is!!!
LET'S HEAR IT FOR MOTIVATION!!!
A couple days ago my old boss, the limey bastard gave me a call. He said that he heard I'd been fired. I still wasn't in the mood for talking to anyone so I'd screened the call.
Today I finally called him back. He said that if I needed shifts that he'd be more than happy to have me work over there at his new bar, which, as luck would have it, is a lot closer than the one I just got fired from.
He assures me that I wouldn't be making that much money, since they've just changed ownership...but like I told him, anything is better than nothing and it will keep me from sitting around my house feeling sorry for myself.
I plan on heading over there one day with week to at least get drunk with the bastard, if not get hired.
