It's been an exciting couple of days...
For one thing, the DeSoto not only runs...but DRIVES! Yes, DRIVES!
The Moldy one and I took her for a little spin late Friday afternoon and it was incredible!
The car's been down so long, I think I never truly believed it would happen!
However, we decided (mostly moldy decided, cuz i was kinda pouty about it) NOT to drive the DeSoto to the Mooneyes show this weekend. Pouty or not, I know it was the right decision. Besides, that car is so fucking hot...it really deserves a proper debut...not an unfinished debut.
I wasn't all the thrilled with my 3am wake up call Saturday morning...but then, my choice is to either suffer with the wake up call...or show up looking like a troll. I made my choice and I'm sticking to it!
Besides, truth be told, one of my favorite parts of the car show tradition, is the early morning meeting place...tired greasers...confused commuters...and the caravan of hot rods as we drive to the show.
The show was fabulous. 800 hot rods and customs to drool over. An 1/8 mile track to watch them drag race on. Girl friends...eye candy...and liquor. I spent my day talking cars with the boys...boys with the girls...and frankly, if I coulda welded something by the end of the day...I could have died happy.

In other news...nobody is bidding on my pinstriped purses on ebay and that's lame.
In other OTHER news...got my photos printed for my holiday (Holliday) cards...they rock, but I'm going to order more tomorrow which will be even better (god bless wal-mart and their one hour digital photo processing).

moving where? we need a cool shop like that here in the valley. i do need some new belts. my chonies keep fallin off, or i take them off, too drunk to remember. anyway did you grow up here or move here on purpose?

wow, thats alot of bouncin around, i thought i was bad. i've spent time in arizona, portland, vegas, san diego, and unfortunatly my job keeps me here. thats really cool that your into cars, i built a 66' mustang, and am starting a 77' jeep. there's an ok bar here in lancaster called maxdons on ave I. it gets pretty busy on fri & sat. there's not alot of fun places here, we mostly hang out & drink at different people's houses. what about you?
