Came "down the hill" from the desert last Friday to try and get some employment business taken care of...
Planned on seeing a friend visiting from NYC, calling the fetish club and passing out my resume to a bunch of mercedes certified shops...
Unfortunately, the energy of the house isn't real conducive to such activities...in four days I succeeded in seeing my friend and making one phone call to the fetish studio only to find that while they are indeed hiring, the owner is on vacation until next Saturday.
So much for motivation.

It was great to see my friend though...surreal really to be tooling around LA in my magical flat black minivan. And it's always great to go drinking with those boys!

As usual, with the good comes the bad...and I've spent the past few days down for the count due to some health problems which originated from and remind me of, a very bad time of my life.
Can't help but get dragged into the negative memories...but I try to take it all in stride.

I'm happy to report that today I'll be packing my things and heading back "up the hill" and into the desert for an undetermined number of days to finish up this '55 DeSoto firedome. We might be passionate and inspired people but we need cash money too...
