Well, I'm still here...and no, I probably won't be taking my next paycheck and running off...

I feel better having at least written that email to my employment people in Houston. A girl's gotta feel like she's got options, yeah?

In other news...

My adventure up to Santa Cruz to see The Chop Tops play wasn't all I'd hoped it would be.

I stood on line out front for at least like, an hour or more with a whole bunch of 12 year olds...

I hadn't realized it was going to be an all ages show...
Not that I've got anything SPECIFIC against the little ones...it was even kinda nostalgic to see 'em...but frankly, I'm an old fucking biddy and I wasn't real amused.

Couple that with the fact I'd finished the bourbon in my flask during the long wait outside...so I was SOBER for the entirety of the show...

Pfffft...can you imagine? Me? Sober? Surrounded by kids for a good five hours?! Yeah...

The music was great, but my favorite moment was when the line for the ladies room was too long...so I strolled right into the mens room instead...and when I came out of the stall and ran into some dude I told him, "I kept the seat warm for 'ya."

Turns out he was the singer for the band I'd gone to see.

At least I had an excuse to get all gussied up...


Too bad I didn't meet any hotties...just some little kid who got all stuck on me...

Seriously...is there anyone over 25 and under 50 around here?!
