I know you guys are just NOT going to believe this...but...I ACTUALLY went out and had some fun yesterday.
One of my housemates invited me to a car show in San Fransisco, to which I answered, "Please...get me the FUCK out of here!"
Which she did, but not before I revisited my pincurling glamour routine and found something in my closet to sqeeze into.
As it turns out Big Foot driver, Rick Long was there and he recognized me! He said he even believed that he had a copy of my show in his truck! We chatted for a while about the show and my plans for driving again.
I also got to see a car that the shop my friend Josh works at sent down to the show. A fabulous '70 Plymouth two door 'cuda. I'm pretty sure that Josh didn't have anything to do with the creation of that car, but it was great to see some of the stuff his shop puts out.
I got to see some cute-like greaser folks and some people pinstriping and basically the trip up to San Fransisco reminded me WHY I gave up my life to learn about cars. WHY I left everyone behind. And what my plans had indeed, been.
So yeah, the trip was exactly what I needed. I got to strut my celebrity ass around and see beautiful cars.
I've decided to (someday) get a '58 Chevy shortbed.
Yes...yes...I will have one...it will be mine....
