My life is exceedingly boring these days...and that's just how I like it.
I've attached myself to one guy in the shop as my mentor...and he's got me doing structural work, which I absolutely love!
The other kids from my program keep coming over during the day to check in on me...and to continuously exclaim that THEY weren't doing structural work in their first two weeks...
I'm finding my place...getting used to the process..and settling in a bit.
Though I admit, looking at my piddly little pay check on Friday had me wondering if I should have stayed in Texas doing what I was doing and fixing cars on the side simply for the love of it.
Besides which...one of my cats keeps running away.
With six other people in the house it's hard to monitor which one is leaving the windows and doors open, letting them out. I wouldn't be so concerned except, the one who keeps getting out is the stupid one...and the other keeps wriggling out of her colar...so...I'm just gonna lock them in my room from now on and they can suffer their little lives away until they realize they can't go outside.

So I am sorry to hear your not enjoying your life in Cali so much. I will tell you that California was great when I was younger and still in school. But I think that everyone can say that whom still lives there. That state needs to go through a depression which I believe will happen sooner than we all think.
With the music industry suffering because of the internet and the movie industry not doing much better, that state will be in dire straights before you know it and then joe average can come back and "make a living" and still actually live.
