Well here we are ladies and gentlemen...it's 5:43AM and I'm up having a cup of java.
It's dark and kinda spooky with the sun not up. It's awful quiet out here.
Remember when I did this every morning?
Again, I just don't know how I did this for so long.
It's no wonder I was as exhausted by the time I graduated!
***
By 8:20 AM I should be on board an America West flight out to Monterey, California to meet my new soon to be boss.
I'm excited and nervous.
I've never had to make a good first impression while popping off a plane. When I say there were some questions about wardrobe...that's an understatement.
I'm not sure if this is going to be a 'working' interview...like an audition. Or if I'll be left mostly to myself to get the lay of the land. I've brought my camera, some knitting, and some books to keep me busy just in case.
I'm sure I'll have time to head over to my new place and meet my new housemates! Yes, all seven of them! I'll get the chance to look at my new room and assess for what I'll be able to take with me, and things I'll need to make that place home.
Hopefully this trip will make the Big Move a whole lot more real for me...enough to get me off my butt to get done the list of things I have done.
Regardless...I look forward to this break in my routine.
I'll be grateful for this time away from all the things I've come to think as 'normal' around this place.
I look forward to this little glimpse into my possible future.
But right now...I'm just looking forward to my second cup of coffee. 'Cuz yeah, again, to say that sleep was elusive last nght is an understatement.
P.s. I won't have any internet access until I get home on Thursday night. So...y'all will just have to hold tight until then!
