i hate this town!
today was community service day,and i have some ranting..if you've ever been to the hutchinson county meuseum,i'm sorry...if you haven't..i'll tell you about it. its the world's crappiest meuseum.no one ever goes to it,its dusty as hell, the exhibits are boring...it's all about oil and indians.and borger is so proud of its damn history being a boomtown.yes,we had gangsters back in the 20's and the texas rangers came in..it does sound interesting, but the exhibits don't portray it well...the featured exhibit this month is "quilts of the texas panhandle" its a bunch of old quilts that old ladies made and donated to the meuseum.granted, quilts might be your thing, but i don't know..last time i was there it was "Textiles of the texas panhandle"next month is "black history month" exhibit, which is about black cowboys..
i must of changed every damn light bulb in that place..and there is this like 15 foot high ceiling..i had to get on this tall-ass ladder and change them..i'm not scared of heights, but i'm scared of heights that you know damn well you could fall and break a neck. they have this appreciation pot luck lunch for volunteers and community service workers..i had to take out the trash from it,put up the tables and chairs,do the dishes, etc etc etc. i felt really appreciated. i also spent an hour cutting velcro into one inch strips, that was probably the easiest part of the day..luckily i only have 10 more hours of this shit.
my lame-ass museum

It looks pretty shitty. Like a welcome center at the state border.
