Time for a new post! As promised I saw quite a few movies this last week, starting with "Once in a Lifetime" (I saw this instead of Lady in the Water after I saw how bad the reviews were), about the rise and fall of the 1970s New York Cosmos soccer team. As a fan of the LA Aztecs I was very interested in seeing...

I'm a bit of a movie freak, but lately there hasn't been much in the theaters that I've wanted to see, so I'm kind of excited that there are some seemingly good flicks coming out soon! This saturday I will see "Lady in the Water", just because I really liked "Unbreakable", "Signs" and "The Sixth Sense", it could be bad, but I do respect M....

I don't know If I could use the word beautiful for it... calling it such would put me on a level of being an aesthete who saw roses bloom in bullet wounds...
Clerks 2 is awesome, also... a little less cerebral and more sentimental, but definately a good time still.
1.Ryan
2.Lestat
3.Blueberries
4.Autumn
5.I don't watch sports.
6.Like 8. But for actual masturbation to completion? probably 14.
7.Soup
8.30 Seconds to Mars
9.Chasing Amy

I think i have seen "The minus man"
is that the one where Mercedes Ruehl rents out a room to him
and he is a polite sociopath?
if that is the one, he was really good in it.
Roy Battys death scene was so moving in Blad Runner, that speech
still makes me all teary eyed.
and Boyz n the hood is a good choice also, do you know that
that film so bummed me out, that i never rewatched it again in its
entirety?
i spelled that wrong...
gotta get ready for work..
have a good day!

As you may have guessed, I'm back from LA. I had a great trip, but I was really glad to come home after 10 days of heavy duty, non-stop socializing!
I have been nothing but lazy since I got home, too much traveling of late, and I am really looking forward to NOT going anywhere for a couple of months. I'm too lazy to post...

I loved "Clerks"....
i also kind of liked "Dogma"
"Chasing Amy" had its moments, but i didn't love it.
i also saw "Jersey girl" just last year, and i didn't think it was half
as bad as most of the critics did.
the dogs name is "Bronco"
he is a lab mix, eleven years old.
sweetest dog!

Well I'm off to LA tonight for 10 days to work and to visit family & friends. I was so happy to leave LA, but I love going back to visit, there is so much there, other than family & friends (& bouganvillea & cheap avocados) that I really do miss.

Finally, I'm updating, I don't really have the time, but I'm tired of looking at my own blog!
Yesterday I was at the dentist, and if that wasn't bad enough, while stuck in the chair I was subjected to "Harden My Heart" by Quarterflash.
Is there a song that if it comes on the radio you cannot change the station fast enough?
Last week I...

Thank you for your comment on my set! I am very glad you enjoyed it!
Hope this dose of radioactive fairydust from the toxic land of the undead was enough to keep you satisfied until the next mutation.

Woo hoo! I'm going to Mexico City Friday morning for 4 days!! I'm so excited! I won't be very active on here till next week, so I thought I'd better update my journal before I go! Here are some pics from last weekend, as you can see it turned out to be a nice weekend here in sometimes sunny Seattle!

damn you. i thought for sure there'd be pictures by now...
thanks about the article. i really didn't expect anyone to read it since it's so long and about india-freakin-napolis. the funny thing is, i can read novels and i can read poems... i just don't have the patience to read articles. something about the odd length. i like nonfiction. i don't get it. but i don't like writing them either, so maybe that has something to do with it.
yes, avacado green. perhaps a tad bit bluer than true 70's avacado, but maybe it just aged that way. it's probably authentic, still works though.
our kitchen walls are orange, the cabinets dark blue. it was this way when we moved in. each room a different color.
normally i'd be jealous of your naan (though i've never had spinach-stuffed), but i was just at my India Garden the other night and still have leftovers in the fridge. yum. unfortunately i won't be able to make it to my own catering tasting for our Feast, but hopefully my boy will bring back boxes of crazy indian food! mmmm....

They did play "A town called Malice"
and it made me all giddy!
i did go to my tenth reunion..
i had a nice time, but i didn't find it amazingly entertaining...
still debating on going to my 20th.
I just cant believe that much time has actually passed.
How are you doing by the way?

I haven't been on SG much lately so sorry if I'm lacking in the response department (I have a temporary roommate from Mexico, so will have to share my computer a bit)! I thought I should at the very least update my journal though! Last weekend I went kayaking on Lake Union with some friends, it was so fun! And a spectacularly beautiful day!!!

well thank you, ma'am.
i saw the "what famous person..." and immediately thought of Walt Whitman because he's the famous person living or dead with whom i'd love to have lunch, but then i read the rest of the question and i really don't think i'd want to see him naked. thanks, though.
and that certainly does look like a lovely weekend. as soon as i get a couple more minutes, i'm going to post my pretty weekend pictures. ah, spring. i bet you guys are several weeks behind us though since you're so far north... most of our flowering trees are all leafed out now.
and how do you have a roommate from mexico? did Bush okay that?

Has anyone checked out the coolness that is Pandora? It's a music site, free to join. You enter a band or artist that you like and it will play music which has a similar theme or feel, very cool.
Once the song is playing, you can give it either a thumbs up or down and then it continues to fine-tune your favorite music. After...

You need to try fiddleheads that were just picked. Did you have some true Atlantic lobster when you were over here on the east coast? Same deal.

Hiya. I feel very welcome now, thanks to you.
Yay! Tattoo! Do you get that rush, or are they simply painful for you?

Oh, you can get Jackass seasons 1 and 2 on DVD, and they're playing trailers now for a second Jackass flick as well. That first movie, I almost tossed my cookies when they we're giving each other paper cuts...~shiver~
We just watched Eraserhead, and I hope it doesn't give me nightmares! I remember falling asleep during Lost Highway, most likely because I just couldn't maintain interest. I have to say Mulholland Drive is one of the most badass movies I have ever seen. And the girl-on-girl love scene -- hello! It's the icing on the cake.
I'm glad you liked Spielerfrau....
