It's raining cats and fucking massive dogs in Ol' London Town today.

My friends and I were going to go take over a beer garden and catch some rays this afternoon, but now it looks as if the only thing we'd catch would be pneumonia.

Ell has just got back from Honeymoon in Florida, so he's going to be feeling it a bit.

If any...

Today I've been loving the sun, drinking Bacardi & Coke, playing some guitar and listening to Sea Change and Mutations by Beck.

I love those albums. Currently working out how to play 'Little One'. Summery and haunting.

Nice.

That's cool... no truce necessary since I was never really mad... just a little confused by the vagueness. That "testify" shit was meant as a sarcastic joke anyway. I mean, just what the fuck does "testifying" have to do with Rock 'n Roll anyway? (HA!) Oh yeah... I tend to use the F-word quite a bit in my posts... it doesn't necessarily mean that I'm pissed off, it's just an ancient habit deeply ingrained into my DNA, but I can understand how it might come off as belligerent when looking at the cold type.
Dude, you play a T-bird!!! That scores BIG fucking points in my world! Sunburst too... I'm jealous! Greatest Bass on Earth.

Cheers. - Jack

I haven't writted any new songs in ages.

I feel bad about that, but I haven' really had anything I've felt stongly enough to write about.

I need a Muse (a woman, not the band).

If YOU would like to be my muse, please apply in writing. I'm looking for a non-smoker who can do far-away stares.

If you want to hear the tracks I...

delusion:
i am not muse touched but i am a writer. conflicted with the complexities and frustrations of the creative process at times, of course. i find that when i read it makes it harder to write, inspiration feels like plagarism & then inevitably i feel like there is nothing i can say that hasnt been said and been said better before. so i try not to read at all during the process of writing. i sometimes can find inspiration in music or art or some other medium in which i am unable to create but i can appreciate the larger issues at stake in the piece and find a way to translate the universal message into another form. creative translation is the literary technique. but all art is a metaphor, turning the individual experience into an understandable, conveyable form. so maybe you could try to silence the cacophony of noise that i have come to realize torments musicians the way words taunt me all the day adn read something or check out some new art, or even some that you already love & try to convert the images or ideas into music, how the emotions would sound in your mind. even if its crap it initiates a new thinking. there is nothing to kill creativity like stagnancy of conciousness. mind you its 6 am and i am not awake early, but not asleep yet so excuse any fragment of thought.... smile good luck.

The new Beastie Boys track. Yes.
vagueblur:
Just joined and you're starting up new groups already - very enterprising.

Glad to see you play a thunderbird (the finest looking bass in the world) and not one of those monstrosities with millions of strings.

A new Beastie Boys track...yes indeed!

Hell yeah! I only heard it once but I liked it a lot. smile

Technically I'm 'working from home' this morning. I ordered a new TFT monitor, so I'm waiting for it to show up.

I took on some private design work about two months ago, and set myself a deadline of tomorrow (Friday) to complete it. All I've done so far picked a colour scheme (chocolate, cream and aqua if you want the pretentiousness...) in fact, here is...

God yeah SG addiction is incurable frown

You're not alone in this SG addictive state. I'm finding it's overtaken my LJ addiction currenlty!! It's a little more exciting here, for obvious reasons. And the fact that if I post on threads I never know who will stop by & comment. Very cool!!

I like that color scheme. Looks calming. Design work, eh? Interior design? That was my first choice when I started college back over 10 years ago now....
Funny because I am a homeowner now & I haven't done much designing work!! I did paint the lovely blue skies in my office. You can see them in the background in the artsy pics on my profile. There's a full wall available that I plan on painting a mural on. I've decided upon a nature scene, with the blue skies & butterfles on the other walls in here. I've been thinking of a forest scene, mountiainous area, or a seascape. Not sure which one yet. I should draw some sketches.

Your diary site was quite enertaining. I liked the bit about facial symmetry & I have to agree with you. The symmetrical image looked like a doll you'd buy in a toy section of a large retail store!!
