It looks like I'll be spending Christmas in China this year, I'm going to be studying physics at the Shanghai Institute of Technology for 3 weeks. Oddly China is one of the countries I least want to visit, since I've heard so many horror stories from my father's visits when he was in the navy and still remember watching the Tiananmen square protests when I was young. I am opened minded enough to visit before casting complete judgment though and hoping it will be a good experience.
