I just found myself wondering what Scientology would be like if it was founded by a decent author like Heinlein or Asimov rather than Huxley. Would people like Tom Cruise actually be intelligent enough to understand it. Would it have even survived the years of ignorance and stupidity that are piling up.
texy:
You know it wink Haha, thankyou tongue

I really dislike scientology.. alot. having said that i dislike
all religions. but, you make a good point. or a question
to ponder rather.

Today is a good day, I just got 3 of my exams back and I passed them all which means I have passed Advanced Organic Chemistry, Instrumental Analytical Chemistry and Industrial Microbiology. I had been worried for over a week that I failed Industrial Microbiology but I just managed to get 50% on the exam which is awesome because I only needed 35%. I also...

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.
Robert Frost

I rarely actually take a good look at my self when Im using a mirror since I know I'll never be happy with what I find there. Today I did though and I was surprised to find I actually have a few grey hairs. I was actually happy...

That's not impossible. I think it's like 93% of scientists describe
themselves as athiest or agnostic, which means 7% belong to
an actual religion. See, nothing is impossible wink
fraise:
Thank you!

Ha! Most people think I'm around 22, but I'm 29. It is annoying! On the one hand it's good to look young and I will be thankful for that when I'm old. But people tread you differently when they think you are 20 instead of 30, and that causes a lot of confusion.whatever

I did my first all morning Saturday training for karate today, It was fun but watching so many black belts train and seeing how far I am below them in my fitness is a little disheartening.
texy:
im sure you're great. that does sound like fun!

My bike is less than a year old and its already starting to wear out, I've replaced my brakes twice and on Tuesday the right pedal broke, the tail light fell off and my rear tire got a puncher. So today I had go back to walking for my job and after 6 hours and 47km of delivering fliers on foot, I am going to...

I woke up today ready to spend all day working, I put on a pair of shorts and a singlet and was about to put on sunblock when I opened the curtains to find out it was raining. Now I have completely lost my desire to work but am so bored I am probably going to anyway.

Well I have now finished the second year of my chemistry degree with a minor in engineering and if there is one thing I have learnt its that even though you have to lower your IQ to take engineering papers engineering students know how to drink and those who dont have rolling on the floor laughing when watch them trying to cross the street and...

Well, I shot the English one a day earlier...so, I guess I'm "younger" in that one. biggrin

But, I shot the English one in the morning and the Spanish one at night so it could be that I looked tired or the lighting was dim or something like that too.

I have just been invited to compete in karate for my university in April for the 2010 university games. I will only be competing in the kata competition since sparring isn't allowed in my style till I achieve green belt. While I find this a little exciting since my last competition was when I was 10, I realise I have very little chance of placing....

i dont think it's about being brave, everybody is different,
we cope with things differently, yano. i think that's so
upsetting that only 20% of men feel they're able to admit
it. i guess it's harder for males, maybe it's the society we
live in. dont feel ashamed, it wasnt your fault. burrying
it might not be very healthy, if you dont mind me saying.
maybe you should talk to someone some day. it really,
really helped me, i dont regret it at all.

Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot

Today in New Zealand we celebrate the death of a man who thought he could save his country by blowing up its government. We do this buy spending stupid amounts of money on fireworks and blowing them up, although most people these days don't...

I intensely dislike microbiology so I must be an idiot to keep choosing it as an elective again and again. I have an exam for industrial microbiology tomorrow and I just cant seem to get in the state of mind for studying for it. One thing is for sure though I am definitely not taking environmental microbiology next semester like I planned. It's not so...

Just got back from my first exam and I feel like shit, its the most stressful exam I've had in a while. I went in think I was prepared but for some reason no matter how prepared I am I always mess up my calculations under pressure. I'm pretty sure I did well enough to pass but I'm just annoyed with my self this year...
