I've always had a theory that the most beautiful (and possibly best match) person you'll ever encounter is someone you just don't really ever get a shot with. Not in a "the timing was never right" or "we're just friends" sort of thing.
More, you see this person, you both lock eyes and smile at each other and there's definitely something there but their train is coming and you can't make it to their platform before the doors close and you miss them.
And then, poof! You never see them again no matter how much you try to replicate things to see if you see them again in that same spot. But sometimes, very rarely sometimes, you're able to find each other again and I think that's where fate and effort collide and you should never ignore that.
So to tie this in I met a girl out clubbing through mutual friends and even though I only met her for maybe 10 minutes at best I haven't really been able to shake her. Normally this is very much not me, I don't develop crushes on cute girls I barely have even met but here we are. I'm hoping we're able to meet again but if not, I can always enjoy the crush for the same reason I adore those subway moments of falling half in love, they're really fun despite as brief as they are and they feel exciting.
