I am indeed just right down the way or will be once I'm back from a quick trip, I believe that I have actually already seen you out there when I visited some tattoo shops earlier this year. I'm sure we will run in to each other sooner than later. hasta-

Long Beach was my town for a couple of years... I envy you. In that town, there are a ton of dive bars you can check out like Ferns, V bar, The Prospector, and Alex's Bar. I think at Alex's you might run into some people that know of a tattoo place for you to work out of, but I don't know of any. All of LA is worth looking at, especially at night. Downtown LB is pretty cool too, and the Portfolio Cafe on 4th in LB is cool. A good place to eat would be the Potholder on Broadway. Belmont shores has a strip of shops and eats. Try talking to the people at Fingerprints in Belmont shores for local shows you can see. Also at the Potholder they leave a lot of flyers for shows. If your driving to some bars in LA, check out the 4100. My friends the bartender there. Very cool bar. Maybe you should try looking up some info here for any meets that might be happening too. Well, I'm sure you'll have fun in any case. Take it easy and update us when you get back from your trip. have a safe one!!

Hey...just saw your post in the tattoo group...I spent about two months in Kauai in 2003. Was your shop there? My girlfriend had some work done while we were there. I wanna' say that the shop was in lihue or somewhere near there. I can picture it in my head. Right accross from one of those ABC stores or something like that.

Anyway...looks like you're really living the dream. Good on ya!

I love Kauai....I'll be back soon...

that geisha girl is awesome. I have been kinda having a thing for japanese work lately.

I also like how you give great explanation on what the designs are, that is ever so helpful. There are so many different styles of tattoo's and I don't always know what styles are called to study a little more.

Funny you say that. I feel the same way. It's like I spent the last 10 years growning farther away from myself. Emotions, thoughts, things I have dealt with in years keep coming back. Experiences that I have now, things I act out on, I wonder why the hell didn't I do this when I was younger. So many things left undone and untouched. Maybe that is what aging is really about? They say the older you get the more the real you comes out. It's all in pieces and I just have to beleive one day that we will get all the pieces together.

what up man? The Cure is one of my fave bands, but I've never heard of that song. But I stopped listening to them a while back... I think I need to start it up again. Which album is it on?

I wish I had more time and money because I'm going to Oahu later this month and it would be cool to get some work by you. Oh well, another time I guess. I try to get over there on a fairly regular basis...like every couple of years. Plus, I really need to fix a tribal piece I have on my leg and you do that style pretty good. I'm not really into the "American Tribal" that most mainlanders do...I like the polynesian and similiarly styled stuff. Aloha!

So you're gonna be in Long Beach for a convention in late July? Is that at the Queen Mary? I haven;t been to that one yet...I'm definately gonna try to be there ( unless a work problem comes up..CA summers, ya know?) and hopefully I'll have some extra cash and if you have nobody you're working on I'll try to get something done..I'll try to give you advance notice when I figure out for sure.
