How sad. DC has released their January solicitations, confirming that the final issues of both Plastic Man and The Losers will ship that month. At least I still have Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers into the spring, and his and Frank Quitely's bi-monthly Superman book coming...
It's strange that so much of my comics purchases have moved over to trades only. Dan Slott is writing a freaking hilarious She-Hulk book for Marvel, but I would rather buy those in collections. (I know, there have been "funny" She-Hulk comics before, "funny" if you like John Byrne screaming "Get it? GET IT? DON'TCHA GET IT?!" on every page, but this one is genuinely clever and wonderful.) I would just rather spend $16 for something I can put on a bookshelf instead of six individual $2.50 issues I have to slot in a bag and a board in a stupid box.
On that note, I am sad that one of my favorite blogs, Fanboy Rampage, has closed down.
I didn't do a very good job spending the summer catching up on the Titan collections of Modesty Blaise and James Bond. Now the 2000 AD trades are about to resume and I've still got several older Titan books to get. Akkkk, sometimes I wonder where the money goes and then I remember... well, thank heaven Deb has started paying child support again.
