Its time again for another Weekly Comics Hype. I tend to do these alphabetically, and this week brings me to the Ls on my shelf and the phenomenally entertaining series Love & Rockets by Jaime and Gilbert Hernandez. This is effectively an anthology series, with each brother telling stories in their own, separate worlds, and occasionally adding unrelated strips alongside them. This week I want...

Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my set!
Its time again for another Weekly Comics Hype, but I dont have time to write one! So forgive the repeat; Ill add some additional information at the end of it!
Although it was eclipsed long ago by the X-Men, The Avengers was, once upon a time, Marvel Comics' principal superhero team book. It is still the central, core title for their mainstream world of superhero...

Its time again for another Weekly Comics Hype. Im doing these alphabetically, but skipping around a bit, and today I want to tell you about one of the craziest, wildest, most gun-mad capers Ive ever read, a story where the stakes get higher and higher with each issue and somehow the creators rise to their escalating challenge with a style that belies their short time...

Its time again for another Weekly Comics Hype. (Actually, it's past time to update this journal...) Im doing these alphabetically, but skipping around a bit, and we havent had any Alan Moore in the hype lately. If ever an omission needed rectifying, its this. When the first series of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen began in 1999, it immediately caught the attention of readers who...

Its time again for another Weekly Comics Hype. Im doing these alphabetically, but skipping around a bit, and Ive been torn as to what Judge Dredd volume to recommend to you. Quite a few have been offered from several publishers and most are out of print, but if you want a really awesome, recent story of the character, you wont go wrong if you look...

"I live in the aforementioned Mayretta, and dark it most certainly is! I get up to Athens every other weekend or so, as I buy my comics from Bizarro Wuxtry, the finest store in the land."
Devlin is my boy!
Hope all is well. I live in Athens but own a house in Kennesaw. I used to make the same commute for comics that you do, except mine was to see Five EIght play.
Don't know much about Judge Dred except for Sylvester Stallone and the Batman crossover they did back in the day.
take care,

Because of the huge number of comments on my latest set... You are receiving this comment late and it is the same comment that I am leaving everyone else as well. I usually try to thank everyone individually and much more personal like, but I would just never in a million years have the time to do that this time. So, I just want you to know that I appreciate that you took the time to comment on my new set. It was very wonderful of you, and I'm sorry that my return comment is so impersonal. However, if you want to stop by my page and say hello sometime, leave me an email, whatnot I'd love to chat. I am nice to everyone that is nice to me.
So, thank you very very much for your nice comment on my set! It is appreciated.
Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!
I swear, I'm going to give anyone reading this the most terminal, life-threatening case of sheer boredom ever experienced on Earth. Akkk!
Anyhow, so I wrote that ex of mine on Dec. 10 and asked her to repay the $260 I'd loaned her. She didn't reply. I wrote again on Jan. 3. No reply. So I phoned her on the 6th and asked her if...

Good grief. Somehow, for some mad reason, I slept for twelve hours last night. Even accepting that I'm on vacation, that's a mad long time to be snoozing.
I forced the Hipster Kids to eat a healthy lunch today. Nobody has ever taken as long to eat a salad as my blasted boy did. Now they are downstairs watching The Princess Bride and I'm listening...

As her mother finished her visit, the Hipster Daughter concluded the most spectacular, ear-shattering, neighbor-troubling (seriously) meltdown I have ever seen.
So I carried her back inside after a million hugs and kicking feet, and her mother drove away, and I took her upstairs for a bath before we go out in a little bit. I washed her hair and gave her a good scalp...
