The permanent marker question is only the beginning. I was reminded the other day why exactly I stayed with Mr. Ex for such a long time - I had to talk him out of flying out to take care of me next week. Say what one will about any of his other traits, he was a freaking excellent boyfriend in my estimation. Not such a good friend though, or husband either, in the end. He's doing much, much better at that friend thing now though. Very weird.

I'm having a bit of a crisis about that too. I think part of it is I need to define terms. Define expectations. I think ours may differ pretty considerably. I asked some questions, told him I can't talk about it until I'm *completely* recuperated, but that I would like him to mull them over until then.
