it's pictures like this one that really show how deep Portland is ingrained in me.....
For not having any plans, i had a dammed fine weekend!
started out a bit bored Friday, ended up watching the crazy city wide pillow fight downtown, and then going back to the boy's with an awesome group of friends just to hang out and color and gab, it was quite nice really!
Saturday i spent the first half of the day with the wife and kids, climbing around the multiple levels at four court (it think they're actually called the Keller fountains) the girls decided i needed to play in the water too, so i definitely got soaked, and scraped and bruised and a major work out, add a good amount of sun to that for drying off, and it was a great time! the boy joined us for a bit then whisked me off to see dead man's chest now i find myself impatiently waiting for next summer to be here!
i had to go home and change after that, i was way too wet (from the fountains not johnny) to enjoy being out any more, nothing like a soggy bra to make a girl slightly cranky eh?
after a change into dry clothes we headed over to the white eagle to see Nathan Jr., Counterfeit Cash and The Stan McMahon Band play, all three were great, counterfeit cash (a Johnny cash cover band) really blew me away, it was pretty eerie actually how much his voice resembled Johnnys.
the moon by the way was fucking amazing that night! there was just this solitary cloud hazing around it, i stood there staring at it for what seemed like forever, i guess i really was moonstruck!
Sunday i watched the World Cup Finals, and picked up some head butting tips, i really wonder what was said to incur that!? then did some massive yard work and trip planning with my mom for the family reunion coming up, she got me a great book to read, and i think my muscles decided that i was done for the next few day, they are still kinda crampy today even! ended the night at noir, and fell asleep text messaging the wife!
like i said i had a very full weekend for some one with no plans!
hopefully this week will be a nice one, i am sure this new book will get me out of my reading funk, so i can pursue the beauty that is ruby a bit more, and hopefully all of my job searching will pan out just in time for me to leave on vacation
