I woke up this morning to a phone call from "Public Outreach". The interview is now officially set for four tomorrow afternoon.
It would have been today, but I'm working through most of this afternoon. I agreed to come in and work the "transition" this afternoon (run the kitchen by myself and get things ready for the evening) so that I don't have to close...

I'm really flattered that you've been reading my journal for a while. You could've said hello earlier, y'know- I swear that I don't bite.
My iBook will be just fine in a few days time. It's weird to not have it around, though. I miss it in a really pathetic sort of way.
Yes, I'll see you tomorrow!

Yay for interviews and networking on other possible jobs!
Did I mention that I liked your new photos?
Gotta go, out like a trout, yo! (we'll get everyone going with that phrase, just watch!)

Today I applied for a job with "Public Outreach". I had a short phone interview with the guy in charge, and I think it went fairly well. He mentioned that tomorrow he was going to be making the necessary phone calls to set up actual interviews, so I guess I'll find out shortly...

Heya.

Likewise, mister.
We can get in contact other ways on this interweb so you can see my photos.
I wanted to comment on an entry of yours a while back but I could never find the right words. I'll try to email you one day.

I was seriously planning on writing another one of those huge entries. I'm kind of tired tonight though, so you're saved. I'll keep this one to a minimum.
I'm preparing to quit my job. No, I haven't started looking for new work yet. However, several job opportunities are starting to present themselves (even if they are as simple as standing at a corner whoring out...

Yeah, you're right, this is the shortest entry ever! *snort*
Let's see a piccy of the Tattoo Zoo t-shirt! Did you get a chance to meet Sarah? If you did, I'm so jealous! From her books and her website, she always seems like such an interesting person.
How do you feel about buying/contributing money to things that are not vegan (or in your case, sXe as well)? LIke buying beer or something. I have a friend who is vegan who won't even make this Xmas cheeseball appetizer thing for her family anymore because she doesn't want to contribute her money to the dairy industry.

I can totally relate to work dissatisfaction. I don't know if I'd recommend retail, but that's only because I've been working it since I was 17 years old, and I'm soooooooo sick of it.
Do you have major loans to repay or anything like that? If not, you're probably okay to take a job that isn't the greatest pay, but is maybe more enjoyable. You seem like you might enjoy working in a coffee shop or a record store, but those jobs rarely pay very well at all.

thats so fuckt. I'll never understand how upper mgmnt expects the shift mgrs and what not to do all sorts of extra work...staying late till its done etc. and as a mgr we generally get paid more, so wouldn't it make sense for min. wage slackers to do the grunt work instead. I tell my girls that if we pick up throughout the day its less to do at night and we can get out on time which is what we all want. shit I egt paid almost double of most of my staff, and I would think my boss would rather see a 6.75/hr person have more hrs than a 14.91/hr person. my boss is pretty cool as long as no one ever had OT. and if we do its like once in a blue moon. you're not salary are you? that would change everything.

So here's some news for anybody in Victoria who likes going out on Thursday nights. "Hang the DJ" at Lucky bar is having it's last night next thursday (July 14th). The Mod Club is going to be moving from Hugo's Lounge to Lucky Bar, and so having the two nights right after one another isn't going to make a lot of...

Did you know that the author lives in Victoria? She and her husband own a tattoo shop there, too.

Hey, I sort of half met you last night - I was there with my friend Kristin, who I think you sort of know somehow. The X on your hand was fading a bit...

Haha, I didn't even really think about how long that last entry was. Like I said, it's an old bad habit. I used to keep a LiveJournal (from sept 2k4-Feb2k5) that I wrote a lot in. And when I say a lot... I mean that you could usually count on 10,000+ words a week from me. I guess it's easy for me to pour my...

Happy Birthday!
I am coming back to Victoria for the Fringe Festival.
For my 20th birthday, my boyfriend and I were going to Chicago to meet up with all of my friends from University (who live in Nashville, Tennessee when school's not in session) to see a huge music festival. Hurricane Dennis caused such inclimate weather (read: it was like driving through the biggest waterfall ever) that there was an 8 car pile-up in front of us. In order to avoid the accident, Brady (the boyfriend) put on the brakes but ended up hydroplaning off the road, into the median, and into the back of a van. At least now I wll always remember what I was doing on my last day of being a teeanger
We'll find out later this week if the car is actually totalled. If it is, I'm buying a Vespa and never going out in the rain ever again!
