So I got to train on grill tonight. I didn't really think about it before hand, but working grill means you pretty much deal with only protein. I cooked every burger, steak, and (non-forno roasted) chicken breast that came out of that kitchen tonight. It was an easier station that I thought it would be, but I can't really say I enjoyed it all that much.
I've been much to slow with getting my application all ready for the new restaurant. I guess I'm kind of building it up in my head as time goes on, and I should really just get it over with and stop thinking about it. (Who's to say I'll be hired anyways...) My delays definitely arent going to help me though. Not having a printer has proven to be something of a problem. The only person that I know who has a printer happens to be someone I work with, and he's refused to let me use his printer to do something like try to find a new job. I don't blame him... if I leave he'll be the last of the old cooks still working evenings.
I'm hoping to take my resume to a little internet cafe near where I live and see if I can get it printed there. I know you can go to businesses like "Staples" for the same thing, but I don't really have the time to make a trip like that in the next few days.
I got a peak at my schedule for next week. The chef has gone away for a few days, so instead of leaving things, he's actually finished it early for once. Unfortunately, he's got my days off all over the place. I guess I can't really complain... I did just manage to get most of the long weekend off...
Speaking of the long weekend, my camping trip is approaching! I think I should start getting ready tomorrow afternoon. If I'm going to be away for a few days I'm going to need to pack at least a few things. I know nobody else is going to be willing to accommodate my diet either, so I'm going to have to plan to bring some food with me too. And I'll need a bunch of batteries as well, just so that I have music AND my camera operational for the entire weekend.
Now as an aside, I was kind of bored the other night and I decided to shoot a totally amateur SB set. I was pretty tired and completely solo on the mission, so it's not really the most glamorous thing I could have come up with. Of course, I've never done this before, but I still had some fun with it. I don't really have much to say...
Wow, I had no idea how late it was. Considering I wanted to get up early to go see about printing resumes and the like
Im out.

I forgot to mention: thank you for the nice wishes. Sometimes I can't believe it's been 3 years.
