Yesterday I lost my cat. Not gone for good though... I was lucky enough to find him quickly when a neighbour pointed him out in some bushes next to our apartment building. How or when he got away, I'm not exactly sure. I live on the third floor of an apartment building, and for him to have jumped seems a bit scary...
He's mostly okay now though. He has a bit of a scrape on the end of his nose. When I went out to get him, he seemed a little shaky about the world in general. All last night he slept comfortably on my lap as I watched a movie (Magnolia this time). Then he slept on my bed all night. I think he's glad he's back home.
I was pretty scared I'd never see him again. I love my cat, and I went through a lot of trouble when apartment hunting to make sure the place I moved into would be okay with him too. Now that I"m here, I want him to be safe.
Other stuff is happening too... like I'm broke and my phone might be shut off today... but I should be able to take care of that soon...

Right now I am playing 'fetch the sock' with him. He'll run away in anticipation, which only diminishes the distance that he'll have to chase the sock, but he seems to think that's half the fun.
I hope your phone doesn't get shut off!
