POINT FORM:
- Listening to "Ted Leo and the Pharmacists" - "Shake the Sheets". (Side note: This morning I found out that some pharmacists make nearly $70 an hour.)
- Just met one of my neighbours... I'm gradually meeting everyone in my building. Yay! They were throwing garbage off the balcony below my own and I decided to say hi.
- Ugh... so tired... had to get up at 6:30 this morning to go to Nanaimo for training (related to a financial side business). I think I may take a nap this afternoon before going to work tonight at six.
- BIG POINT: The chef at our restaurant recently quit. We're getting a new KL (kitchen leader) and my roommate is moving from "night sous" to "day sous". For him, it means better (daytime) hours and a slight increase in pay and tips. For the rest of us, it means a slew of new positions opening up near the top. I'm hoping to get promoted to the day team, as it would mean regular day time hours (as opposed to the retarded split shifts I've had to work these past few months). Even if I don't get that though, at the very least I will be promoted to closing coach. Either way, it's a pay increase.
- I'm sick of staying up late. I love the night and hanging out with friends in the evening, but all of these closing shifts at the restaurant lately are screwing up my internal clock. I spend far too much time awake at night and consequently I sleep in way too late most of the time. As much as I like the night, I far prefer being up during the day to enjoy the sun too!
- Related to staying up late as well as the possible advancements at work: I've decided to give the restaurant at least one more month. If things aren't going well, or I'm not happy with my shifts (like if I don't get the day team position for instance) then I think I'm going to look for alternative employment. All the recent changes, our new KL, and my complete dissatisfaction with working split/closing shifts all the time have gradually worn on me.

I think it's possible that my wisdom teeth are coming in, and it's causing some pain in the back of my mouth. I don't have a dentist here in Vic yet... and no dental plan to speak of. I'm not really sure what to do...
- I'm not sure who coined the idea, but I'm thinking of having a fake pre-birthday party of my own soon. My birthday isn't until July, but nobody at work knows that, so I'm planning to get everybody to come out for a good party. Since I don't drink anyways, it'll be easy to ensure that nobody buys me any shots or anything. I don't want anyone to spend money on me inadvertently, only to find out later that it's merely a pre-celebration.

The only Ted Leo song I'm familiar with is Timorous Me, and it's a really great song. Do you know that one?
My cat is only a year and a few months old. Is your kitten very much younger?
ps: may I add you to my friends list? I'll send a request, just in case. Just decline if you don't feel like it...
