One of the biggest reasons I enjoy going out to the club in the evening is that I love to meet people. Since moving to Victoria, I've had to make a lot of new friends and build my life away from the people I was used to. But I absolutely love this city, and I've made a lot of new connections.

My three passions right now are "writing", "cooking" and "music". I love going out because I can usually choose someplace that will play music I can tolerate. While at a small show, I met Melissa, a girl who works at my favorite local record store. It was nice to meet someone that I had recognized, since most of my friends either aren't really into going out to shows very often, or they don't like the genres that I am interested in.

Melissa said "maybe you just have the wrong friends?". I've met some interesting people since I've started going out more often, and it's fun to think that I might be meeting some new friends with similar interests. This doesn't mean that I dislike the people I know already. I'm merely interested in getting to know other people that like some of what I like.
