New Pornographers. Which album are you listening to? "Electric Version"? I'm curious, because I heard that they're releasing another album some time this year, maybe in the fall.
When you rent again, you should check out Dazed & Confused. It's kind of a teen movie, but set in the 70s and super fun. It made me wish I'd been around for more than the last 3 months of the 70s.

you and me are like, restaurant buddies! Although I know your restaurant is much classier than mine. Our staff drinks in the kitchen ALL the time. And the bartenders give it away freely. It rules, and it makes a slow night much more fun!

Haha, I love using "Boo-urns" when writing. It's funny when something from a cartoon has pervaded the collective conciousness. I mean, everyone knows what "boo-urns" means, even people who are not necessarily Simpsons fans.
I'm feeling slightly better. Staying home on Tuesday was a good idea, because that was the worst by far. I had Wednesday and Thursday off anyway, and I slept in both of those days and took it easy too. I watched Dazed and Confused yesterday (one of my favourites) and I also watched Do the Right Thing, which was fitting, given the crazy hot weather we've been having. It was so hot and muggy, but now it's perfect out, there's even a nice breeze.
You might like I ♥ Huckabees, definitely rent it and check it out, anyway. I can't remember if I noticed Tank Girl on your favourite film list before. I love that movie! Yay for tough cartoon chicks!

Don't feel bad for wanting to laugh, it is pretty funny. We were able to put the table back together for now, but I want to see if we can find something at Value Village or something one of these days. 
It's my Sunday! Yesterday I didn't really end up doing anything productive at all, so I'm going to get it all done today. Then I can start this week off on the right foot.

I think you can say you're walking the edge whenever it feels right for you. There may be some people who consider themselves the "straight edge police", who will always try to make you feel like you could never be as straight edge as they are, or as vegan as they are, or whatever the chosen ideology in question is. Yes, ultimately it is your choice to say yes or no if someone offers you alcohol or weed or whatever, but the only person you really have to answer to is yourself if you slip up. You don't have to justify your choices to anyone else. So if anyone else calls you a hypocrite, screw them and just be as true as you can to your own ideals.

Just because you smoked weed (or had one drink, you get the idea...) one time does not mean that you are no longer straight edge. Just like someone who is vegan may "fall off the wagon" so to speak, and eat one piece of cheese, it doesn't negate everything you've done previously. You just have to try again tomorrow.
Anywho, sorry this is so long, I just hope you don't beat yourself up too much over this. A big poo-poo to all the haters that are trying to make you feel bad.
