Listening to: "Sleater-Kinney" - "The Woods" (album)

Wow, it's kind of late. But I figured I'd update anyways. I'm having one of those "veg in front of the computer and stay up way too late" sort of nights. And by "way too late", I mean "waaaaay" too late. I have to be up at 6:30 to go to Nanaimo again for another training session. I...

Yay for being your first SG friend!

So how is the new Sleater-Kinney album? I've only read some reviews, but I haven't heard any of it yet. Right now, my guilty pleasure album is Gwen Stefani's, and I got this album called the Milk-Eyed Mender by Joanna Newsom that I like on a more serious level. It's really interesting musically, and she has the strangest voice.

I've always wanted to visit Victoria. I was going to spend some time there in the fall, but my plans fell through. Some day, though.

Is there really such a thing as being horribly positive? wink

Listening to: "The Boy Least Likely To" - "The Best Party Ever"

Gonna gripe for a second..

My knee is in a lot of pain right now, and I'm not entirely sure why. Yesterday after my little nap in the afternoon it started to hurt a little bit, and it's slowly been getting a little bit worse. I can't really think of anything that might...

POINT FORM:

- Listening to "Ted Leo and the Pharmacists" - "Shake the Sheets". (Side note: This morning I found out that some pharmacists make nearly $70 an hour.)

- Just met one of my neighbours... I'm gradually meeting everyone in my building. Yay! They were throwing garbage off the balcony below my own and I decided to say hi.

- Ugh... so tired... had...

Lucky pharmacists.

The only Ted Leo song I'm familiar with is Timorous Me, and it's a really great song. Do you know that one?

Thanks for the compliment! I may be changing the colour again soon, it's quite badly faded after only a week.

My cat is only a year and a few months old. Is your kitten very much younger?

ps: may I add you to my friends list? I'll send a request, just in case. Just decline if you don't feel like it... smile

Life is good. I've been having fun on the edge. Went whale watching the other day and had a blast. Saw a lot of whales, but didn't get much for pictures. It's hard to know where they're going to surface, and then once they're out it's hard to get a picture fast enough before they start to go back down again.

Today i bought a...

I still don't have any new furniture. I'm not really sure when I'm going to actually go out and buy anything, since I don't have a lot of time between my split shifts every day. My next day off this week is on Tuesday, and if all goes well, I might get to go Whale watching with Kristy.

She also suggested us cooking up some...

What's new... in as few words as possible.

I missed the financial company meeting tonight and the guy who invited me is probably starting to get worried about my lack of involvement. But whatever... I needed a day to myself to just think and get some things taken care of.

Went on a grand pilgrimage to every thrift store in town today. Well not EVERY...

One of the biggest reasons I enjoy going out to the club in the evening is that I love to meet people. Since moving to Victoria, I've had to make a lot of new friends and build my life away from the people I was used to. But I absolutely love this city, and I've made a lot of new connections.

My three passions right...

My new cookbook arrived today. Yay for new vegetarian cooking ideas.

My friends are nearby at the moment, but both of them are on some sort of drugs I think. They came to our staff party tonight for a little while, eventually leaving to their own plans.

And then when I walked in my apartment, my roommate ran into his bedroom with only a towel...
