So a few things-
I might be co-curating an art exhibit April 10ish with LA Weekly art critic Doug Harvey.. I just spoke with him today, and it might be something interesting to do. I'll keep you all updated.. it's going to be interesting!
The lab is mindblowingly frustrating these days. I have to put together a poster describing my research on the effect of HMTS/ethanol co-application on Glycine LGC's with mutations at positions A52C and S267C by March 22 for a competition, and I hardly have any data to present. I've only been working at the lab for three months.. They've got to be out of their minds.
Had a few drinks with LAESQ at Barney's Beanery last night. Very nice guy, ladies, not stalker-ish at all and a lot of fun. He's a keeper, be nice to him!
AND.. I got my SG callback today. Good news, Missy wants to meet with me again.. I'd better start thinking of photoset ideas! One step closer to being a Suicide Girl. Still not getting my hopes high, though. Like I said, competitive process, from what I gather a lot of girls have gone as far as shooting a set with Missy and THEN getting rejected. My delicate ego can't depend on something so uncertain! ha. I'll stick to maintaining my sense of self-worth by relying on the old noggin, which, unlike my body and facial expressions, is quite faithfully malleable to my will.
Being a Suicide Girl sure would be fun though. I'm a trooper when it comes to advocating brains and beauty as a killer irresistable, if not intimidating combination.
