So I am bored. Even though I have a project now - I truly am bored - in fact I don't even care about moderation around my parents -I'm likely going to get drunk tonight just like a drank a bottle of wine for dinner last night.

I was really looking forward to seeing my brother. He's at flight school in Oklahoma right now for the Navy and I haven't seen him since Christmas. It's strange - we hated each other so much growing up - but I miss having him around immensely now. He had to stay out west at the last minute - as he had a ticket to ride out here - but had to cancel.

Coming down to Virginia tends to amplify two things - my desire for community - and my desire for love. All anyone ever does around here is play with their kids - or play house. And now since my license is expired - I pretty much am under house arrest.

the Himes house tends to be a fragile one too - some BS happened with the neighbors - so Mom is upstairs sobbing to Dad - who is likely more interested if the paint on the deck outside is drying. I'm throwing back anything with a proof above 4% wondering if I've fucked up my project already - and possibly my dreams...

And my brother - well he's not here - and that makes a difference.

And there isn't an embrace around that satisfies - like the one I get when I see him.
