I've been doing some research, not getting drunk. I am drunk but my research - then - ie. in La Mistral earlier - did not involve getting drunk.
Before I was I heard a story that may be of interest. AC was struck with some pepper spray in his hood.
After getting struck he chased the "yardies/street children" into a backstreet where broken fence provided weaponry. An assailant ripped a piece of wood from the picket and swung wildly at Alex. Alex, giving chase, grabbed a fencing board himself.
Bullwell is to the North of Nottingham and has a very pretty bit of canal. The water runs beside a park and before the Robin Hood railway line, to the east, a matter of yards beyond.
AC gives chase and is faced with a spade and a gardening fork, which he requisitions when it is thrown at him and then he backed away, threw the fork onto the roof of a garage, (the kind that you see in huddles with up to fifteen in a row).
Before I go I'll say this: I haven't seen a copy of 'La Chute' for a year.
