If you are truely of Nottingham you don't have an accent. We simply abuse the language and condense it. There are the West-Bridgefordians who speak with a slight "neeearrr" but south of the river is where the Southerners came to live and where they ran the economy from, with the Trent forming a barrier between them and the farmers and miners and tanners in the north. If you go out into the county, particularly in the direction of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, the locals begin t'talk a bit laark this.
