I spent 4 weeks of last summer trecking in the Sinai desert, that little triangle between Africa and Arabia. So yeah, I was there, climbing mountains and painting a school. My picture is me copying a Miro onto the school's perimeter wall.
The news is that the leader called me up this morning and offered me the assistant leader place of this year's expedition, meaning I'd get to go out on the cheap. I might as well plug the company because it was one hell of a trip: Wind, Sand and Stars do a number of trecks but, for all you SGUKs, I'd recommend the summer expedition. You sleep outside, (properly outside, no tents) almost every night, the month is split between the treck and the project [ethical tourism type thing. Could be anything from irragation to teaching Bedouin kids English or running a health survey]. Cost is about 1300 with your flight.

Replaced the bodily fluids of his dead friends and family with fast setting plastic and displayed the bodies, peeled
The latest work that I heard about was, in front of a lay audience and live on the noble channel four, cutting up a dead body in the name of public education.
I'm afraid I can't remember his name. This is all quite recent though.
